We’re all kind of lying to our cats when we say we know what they’re meowing about. We nod along like, “Oh yeah, I get it,” when in reality we’re just guessing between hunger, attention, or general complaints. Still, we answer them like it’s a real conversation, even though we have absolutely no idea what’s being said. They meow, we respond, and somehow it feels like we end up on the same page.

Calling black cats evil is just plain wrong. They’re actually the sweetest little shadows, always nearby and ready to curl up next to you the second you sit down. Sure, they might get a little mischievous now and then, but most of the time they just want pets, snacks, and a warm place to nap. Behind all that dark fur is a tiny companion who’s way more cuddly than spooky.

Black cats have a way of completely disappearing the second the lights go down. One minute they’re right next to you, and the next they’ve blended into the shadows like they were never there in the first place.
